How To Break In A Glove

Baseball gloves generally don’t come ready to use. Unless you’re dropping some serious dough on a custom, broken in glove (which is awesome) you will need to spend some time with your player breaking in their glove.

A player showing up to practice with a glove that’s not broken in can and will have a difficult time, even so much so that they might not enjoy the experience. Many parents who didn’t play aren’t aware of this. In the video below you will see Wilson’s Glove Guru show you some tips and tricks. You don’t need everything he has, the main thing to focus on is the water and the pounding, focusing on creating the “Pocket”.

There’s tons more information on the Interwebs so just search “Breaking In Baseball Glove” if you want more. And get started right away, get your player involved and have fun.
